Photonica, Q1 2013:  Photonica is pleased to announce that it has become a portfolio company of new private equity firm, investor, and related company, Ars Nova Capital.

An independent venture with origins going back to 2001 and before, and with a team comprised of a dozen leading executives from technology, media, and other private equity firms, Ars Nova specializes in investing in the dynamic crossover between cutting edge media and the fundamental hardware and software technologies that are transforming it.

Three members of the Ars Nova Capital team also played a founding role with Photonica and sit on the board, with the two companies sharing in part a common lineage.

Photonica joins a portfolio of other Ars Nova investments in radical new hardware and software technologies , as well as in major film, television, game and mobile content projects and companies.  Ars Nova's portfolio also extends to major infrastructure projects with leading international partners, now underway  at different stages in five locations in Asia, North America, and Europe.

Photonica, April 12, 2013:  Joining its existing large and giant screen product program, which last year began its first contract developing a next-generation replacement to green screens used for film and television production and for post-production screening rooms, simulators, telepresence and cinema, Photonica has announced today the planned debut of a revolutionary product for the mass consumer and business market, for late 2014.

In addition to providing custom product solutions to leading consumer and industrial electronics companies, semiconductor chip and telecom hardware customers, Photonica is developing its own complete systems for mass and speciality markets.

The new product line in the mobile and desktop arenas will revolutionize what the consumer thinks of as "mobile device" and "computer."

The new products will not be an incremental improvement over anything that is known.

They will be Truly New.
